Carol Cullen

Principal Consultant

Carol Cullen has extensive contacts and relationships with a wide range of Food and Dairy Industry personnel after more than 30 years involvement in the dairy industry in New Zealand.

This included executive positions within the New Zealand Institute of Food Science and Technology (DIANZ Dairy Division, previously the Dairy Technology Society).

She has some knowledge of civil engineering, earthworks, road construction and maintenance, bridge building and drainage works as she maintained Quality Systems to the ISO standard.

Since 2008 Carol has been based in Bundaberg, Queensland working with fruit and vegetable growers and processors, builders and community groups.

 

Achievements include:

  • Grade A on the AIM First Line Management (VTC Supervision) Course
  • Contributed to the report on The Investigation into the Composition of Typical Herd Milks, with special emphasis on Ratios of Components (Cresswell, Cullen, McGillivray and Munro – July 1991)
  • Compiled an Investigation into the Composition of Raw Milk (Cullen, Hill, MacGibbon – 1994 / 95)
  • Led a Dairy Industry Association of New Zealand Study Tour to Tasmania and Victoria (1999)
  • Developed an interactive Power Point Pathogen Awareness Training programme
  • HACCP validation, Product Safety Programme auditing, Water Management Plan verification
  • Maintaining Quality and Health and Safety systems, including internal auditing and staff training
  • Presenting a Food Safety module to Post Graduate students at University of Auckland
  • Assisting New Zealand companies to achieve Accident Compensation Commission accreditation to the Workplace Safety Management Programme
  • Helping a Domestic Violence Service comply with the new Queensland Community Service Standard
